Hey Everyone, more of an update this week than an actual article.
This week I was starting to feel that I was getting a little burnt out so decided it was time for a little break. Between writing, day job, weight loss, weight lifting, and some travel I started to really feel it. My creative brain has been more aloof this week than it normally is.
This is another point from Gainz way of life that I didn’t include last week. Rest is just as important for growth as doing the hard thing. So after two months of doing the hard thing I think it’s adequately time for one week rest so I don’t just start spinning my wheels. I’m going to hang out, watch some movies, and recharge the life battery.
I will be back with another essay next week! Through these last 10 weeks I’ve discovered that writing truly seems to be what I want to do in life. I’ve enjoyed putting these essays together and I have many more in the tank. This process has lead to an ever greater generation of ideas instead of dwindling down a few that I had.
I also have some very big ideas/projects that I’m working on. Some stuff that I think is potentially big and important enough that I’m really trying to get it right by doing the adequate research and refining the writing. I hope to bring this to fruition soon but that may still be several months out. Sometimes you just gotta let something simmer for awhile and I definitely have a lot simmering right now.
I appreciate everyone who has stuck with me through this change in programming, and appreciate all my new readers! I am hoping to be able to grow this newsletter. In the future I’d love to do writing full time as my profession, but for now it’s a fun hobby. I may even start experimenting with paid subscriptions, but I wouldn’t lock anything behind a paywall it’d be a completely voluntary subscription to just help support the work.
For those who read to the end I award you with a picture of my cat and co-writer Theo. Otherwise I’ll be back next week!
